What the official notice says

Risk: serious risk — The Eskuta SX-250 model e-bikes sold by BR Ebikes Ltd present a serious risk of injuries because they have been modified with concealed override switches beneath the seat. These modifications allow riders to bypass the legally mandated 15.5mph speed limit, reaching speeds of approximately 20mph.

Remedy / actions:

• The local authority is requiring the withdrawal of the products from the market and the recall of the products from end users.
• This recall only applies to bicycles that have received a speed modification by BR E Bikes. If your bike has not been modified by BR E Bikes, it is not affected by the risk above and it is not included in this recall.
• If you own a bike that has been modified by BR E Bikes, you should stop using the product immediately and contact BR E Bikes Ltd for a refund or replacement:
