Source accuracy

How reliably each official source is collected, how fast we pick up new notices and, once enough households have answered, how often matches were confirmed.

Methodology & privacy

  • Collection success: the share of scheduled checks of the official source that finished, fully or partly, in the last 30 and 90 days. A failed check is never counted as “no change”.
  • Time to detect: the median time between the source’s own publication time and the moment Reality Radar first saw the notice, over 90 days. Notices published before we started watching the source are left out.
  • Signals: distinct public notices first seen from this source. Private page watches and personal reminders are never included.
  • Confirmed by users: among alerts from this source, the share that households marked relevant or already handled, versus not relevant, wrong item or wrong source, over the last 365 days. Each household counts once, however many alerts it answered.
  • Privacy: user-confirmed precision is shown only when at least 5 different households with verified accounts older than 7 days answered (guests excluded). Household counts are shown as 5+, 10+, 25+, 50+ or 100+ and precision is rounded to 5%. Health-related alerts (medicine cabinet, allergies) are never counted.
  • Daily snapshots change only when more households changed than one household could cause on its own, so comparing two days cannot reveal what a single household did.
